The following was spoken by the
California Board of Prison Terms Presiding Commissioner,
Frontera, California
January 20, 1993
"Time now is 23 minutes after 5 p.m. (5:23).
Everyone that was present before the break
is back again.
Ms. Atkins we have a unanimous decision..."
Susan was just told that
the Board of Prison Terms
has reached a decision unanimously;
Put yourself in Susan's place;
How would you feel right now?
The Commissioner continues...
"The panel reviewed all information received
from the public and relied on the following circumstances
and concluded that
you're not suitable for parole,
and would pose an unreasonable risk of danger
to society and threat to public safety
if released from prison"
