In her letter,
Susan tells us she has been watching an evangelist
on a Christian television network.

Susan tells us how moved and inspired she was
by what she heard and saw on her television;
"...You and I may not have the same type of call that
(the evangelist) has, or other well known front line soldiers in the
Army of God, but you and I can do what God has called us to do
right where we are.
Whether that is through giving to those
who are called to go into the world,
or through ministering to our neighbors
the Love of God that has been put in our hearts"
Susan goes on to tell us that, a few months ago,
she was approached by "some sisters in the Lord"
to help them put together a dance to a song
by a singer/evangelist that they liked.
(Susan names the singer/evangelist in her letter).
"...The purpose of this dance is to reach the young women here..."
"...So every Sunday, I give a few hours to this group
of innovative and talented women
who want to reach the lost right here in prison,
and help them learn dance steps. The choir is working hard
with the prison band, to produce an all out outreach.
It's scheduled for October of this year.
Only the Holy Spirit could coordinate such a production
in an environment like this"

Susan continues;
"Then recently I was approached by one of the Counselors who
asked me if I would be willing to work with him and a group of
Christians to restructure one of the ongoing programs here
that is geared to help people break through barriers in their lives.
So we are diligently working together to place Jesus right in the middle
of this wonderful program. Approval for this revision was graciously
given by the original author of the program.
Weekly we meet as a team to bring Jesus to the heart of the program.
There is so little time, I believe, to reach the world
with the Gospel before Jesus returns.
I can't imagine doing anything other than giving all I have
to this end. Filling up the Kingdom of Heaven with all who will come.
How can they come unless they hear?
How can they hear unless someone goes and tells them?
How can someone go and tell them unless someone
helps send those who are willing to go?"

Later, Susan tells us
"In the past few months the Department of Corrections
Youth Authority has been sending
some of their population into the prisons.
In the last few months I've met more than
a handful of teenagers in this prison.
There is a young girl, not yet 17 years old here.
There are several 17, 18, and 19 year old young girls doing time
along side grown women.
It is truly heartbreaking.
Those young girls somehow missed the message of God's Love
for them while they were growing up,
or rebelled against the truth they were taught.
Now they are here.
Please pray with me that they will, while they are here at this prison,
be ministered to with grace and mercy, love and truth.
These young girls are the ones the Body of Christ here at CIW
are reaching out to.
To them and those who are no doubt
going to be arriving this year and in the years to come"

As Susan continued on in her letter,
she went on to tell us "many of your faithful sisters in here
are working, praying, giving, and reaching out in Jesus Name,
right here behind the walls of CIW"
Susan continued on in her letter to it's end,
and then closed her letter.
Susan's complimentary close to her letter is
"I remain, your faithful sister in Jesus"
